A recoil-operated LMG developed in the late 1940s and based on the USA Johnson M1944. The first types had side-mounted magazines - the later type the usual underneath receiver form of mounting. The magazine of later type was similar to the Browning Automatic Rifle and held 20 rounds of 7.92 mm. Briefly used by the Israeli army it was superseded by the FN Mag Machine Gun.
