One of the most famous machine guns of all time, entered service with the British Army before WW1 and used extensively throughout World War Two. Water cooled and belt fed the Vickers was one of the most reliable machine guns ever made. In action it could keep firing for as long as ammunition could be fed into it. Serial number suggests this example was manufactured in 1918.
