This gun is the Russian equivalent of the US cal .50 Browning and is air cooled and belt fed. The D.S.h.K gave good service throughout the second world war, in Korea and all subsequent areas using Russian equipment. It is most commonly seen mounted as anti-aircraft armament on tanks and armoured vehicles. This example has remote control cable to allow gun to be fired from inside Vehicle.
