Based on the FN FAL Belgian rifle this excellent rifle was adopted by the British army after extensive trials in the early 1950s. The British version is self-loading only but some nations went for the fully automatic version. Well made, reliable and accurate. This example is of Australian manufacture but the specification is identical to the UK weapon
