Subject: A Relic on a Cardboard sign with hand written description - Relic from the explosion of the Corning and Press Houses, Royal Gunpowder Factory Waltham Abbey, near All Marsh on 13 April 1843. Seven persons were killed. A six inch copper nail fashioned with ornamental designs, inscribed with the date of the explosion and wired to a card measuring 6" x 13" bearing the above legend.
