Description: For this Golden Jubilee Year, the Royal Gunpowder Mills is staging a major exhibition about the history of fireworks and their role in celebration. The exhibition is based on an extraordinary firework collection built up by Maurice Evans, together with firework making equipment from the Black Cat firework factory in Huddersfield. Maurice’s collection includes a vast range of fireworks, posters, programmes for firework displays and a wide range of items using fireworks as the inspiration for the design.
