Biography:
1. William Watson (2) was engaged as a Labourer within the Engineers' Department on the 1st June 1826. He was a 25-year-old married man without issue, and was paid 2/2d per day, giving him an annual income of £33.18.2d (WO54/554 dated the 1st October 1826). He had no previous appointments with the Board, which differentiates him from William Watson (1).
