Biography:

1. Phillip Sherrin was the bearer of a letter from the Comptroller,William Congreve, to the Rex Officers at Waltham Abbey, requesting that Evan Jones be sent to the Royal Laboratory and that they take Sherrin as a Labourer in Jones' place (WASC 475). 2. In August 1790 (Supply 5/215) Sherrin was dusting and glazing powder, and this was also the case until February 1793 (Supply 5/216 dated the 28th February 1793).
