Biography:
1. Samuel Rolf was an occasional Labourer in the Engineers' Department earning 2/8d per day, having first been employed by the Board on the 9th April 1814. He was a 28-year-old bachelor living in Waltham Abbey, and had trained as a Collar Maker (WO54/516 dated February 1816).
