Biography:

1. John Rayner was a Sawyer by trade who was set to work by Daniel Cornish in October 1787 at 9/- per week, possibly renovating the Mills following their purchase from Mr Walton by the Government. He appears not to have been retained once his work was completed (Winters, p.28).
