Biography:
1. John Randall was a Labourer by trade who was set to work by Daniel Cornish in October 1787 at 9/-d per week, possibly renovating the Mills following their purchase from Mr Walton by the Government (Winters' Centenary Memorial, p.28).
2. In November 1788 he was employed as a Millman (Supply 5/212).
3. A Record dated the 24th January 1789 stated, "sick & does not appear that he will be able to attend duty," and a Personnel Return of people working in the Storekeeper's Department dated the 21st March 1789, stated, "sick but receives his pay" (Supply 5/212).
