Biography:
1. John Piercey was listed as the Master of The Peggy in 1802 (Winters, p.55).
2. The Peggy was a 28-ton vessel employed, but not owned, by the Ordnance at Faversham since the 10th December 1794, which was plying between Faversham and the Tower of London (Supply 5/72 of 1796). The Peggy was also described as a Faversham Powder Hoy,and was employed at Waltham Abbey in 1802.
3. Piercey and his wife, Ann had a son, John White, baptised at Faversham on the 6th June 1794.
