Biography:
1. W. Perkis was a Bricklayer by trade set to work by Daniel Cornish in October 1787 at 9/- per week, possibly renovating the Mills following their purchase from Mr Walton by the government. However, he did not appear to have been retained (Winters' Centenary Memorial, p.29).
