Biography:
1. Samuel Palmer was employed as a Millman with pay of 2/3d per day, and was allowed 3d per night when on duty.
2. According to a Return dated the 23rd August 1808 (Supply 5/227) Mr. Palmer was then employed as a Punt Man earning 2/-d per day, and he was allowed to watch in turn. This was also the case in September 1810, according to Supply 5/228 dated the 1st September that year.
