Biography:
1. John Ovenden (2) was appointed a Cooper in September 1810 at 2/6d per day, but was not allowed to watch (Supply 5/228 dated the 1st September 1810).
2. Ovenden was still employed as a Cooper in August 1812, but by then, his pay had risen to 4/-d per day (Supply 5/229 dated the 29th August 1812). The same details applied on the 13th February 1814 (Supply 5/230).
