Biography:
1. Thomas Nigh was first employed by the Board on the 5th December 1814 as an occasional Labourer in the Engineers' Department, earning 2/4d per day. He was a 45-year-old married man with no children, and lived in Waltham Abbey (WO54/516 dated February 1816).
