Biography:

1. William Morgan was employed as a Millwright in the Engineers' Department at 3/6d per day. In August 1790, he was working within the Manufactory, and his wages - amounting to £1.1.0d - were submitted by William Spry, Colonel Commanding the Royal Engineers, and paid by the Storekeeper, James Wright. He signed for his pay "with a firm hand". (WASC 1382).
