Accident Description: "This afternoon C Rooke fell into Gulley Stream at the Head Mills when assisting to move the gate and was unfortunately drowned. (On 28th April 1796.-Bd Order to pay Rooke's widow 1s a day from his death.) The water broke the bank away."
