Accident Description: "...an explosion occurred at the (Press House on) Lower Island which caused the deaths of James Reeves (foreman), Lewis Wilson, Charles Simpson, Abraham Holmes, and John Ward." Magazine next door containing 5000lbs of gunpowder emptied into the river.
